Wael Romdhane is a Sports Consultant
Wael is a former professional athlete, sports consultant and model. His in-depth understanding of the sports world, enriched by his business acumen honed at the Big 4, enables him to deliver exceptional consultancy in sports. His multifaceted career path provides him with an comprehensive perspective on the sports industry, setting him apart as a invaluable asset in the field of sports.
Wael is an alumnus from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and holds a degree in Business Administration and has a diploma in Sports Management.

At just four years old he joined a local football team in Heerenveen. Soon he joined the youth academy and also played for the youth teams of Heerenveen. In 2017 Romdhane got scouted by RKC Waalwijk. He trained and played friendly games on trial basis during the season with the club but did not sign.
In January 2018 he went to the United States to chase his dreams to become a professional football player while simultaneously pursuing his studies. His journey began in Los Angeles at UCLA. During this period, including the pre-season, he also tried out for the LA Galaxy U23 team. Despite not securing a full scholarship nor signing pro, he remained undeterred and pursued further possibilities, which led him to Washington D.C., at the GWU and the Richmond Kickers, then part of the USL Champsionship.
His endeavors in the U.S. may not have met his expectations, but this only fueled his passion and resolve, steering him back to the Netherlands. Undaunted by these setbacks, he continued with relentless determination and eventually signed with Achilles'29, marking a very important new chapter in his career.
Adventures in the United States
Netherlands and Tunisia
Despite the financial struggles at Achilles'29, the club presented Wael with a prime opportunity to be the captain and showcase his talents to professional teams. It was a significant step in his career, giving him the chance to compete in both the U23 Eredivisie and the 1st Division (Highest Pro Tier).
Following a successful personal season, he was presented with multiple opportunities. However, he opted to sign with US Ben Guerdane in the summer of 2019, attracted by an exciting new sports project that involved recruiting various international players. This team achieved a fourth-place finish in the Tunisian Ligue 1 Pro and secured a spot in the CAF Confederations Cup. Sadly, a persistent lower back injury meant that almost all of his time was spent in rehabilitation. Ultimately, he chose to go back to the Netherlands for further recovery. Regrettably, he was unable to make a complete recovery and was forced to retire from the sport to which he had dedicated his all for over 20 years.
Wael holds a Business Administration degree from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University and also pursued a Master's in Accounting and Finance. Additionally, he has earned a diploma in Sports Management. His passion for entrepreneurship, particularly in the field of Sports (Management), has been evident throughout his career. Both during and post his playing days, he has worked as a professional football consultant. After his football career he was also employed at the Big Four, with PwC and Deloitte, respectively. The Tunisian Dutchman was raised multilingual. He is fluent in English, Dutch, Arabic, French, and German.

Modeling Career
Wael's modeling career took flight in late 2017, initiated by offers from various agencies. He engaged in modeling endeavors both domestically and internationally, including in the U.S. and across Europe. Subsequently, his talents were soon recognized by Max Models, the leading modeling agency in the Netherlands, which took him under its wing for representation. Since 2022, Wael became part of their distinguished 'The Specials' division, focusing on sports and lifestyle. His portfolio includes notable collaborations with prominent brands like Under Armour, VodafoneZiggo, KNVB and Swapfiets and many more.
